In October 2015, we opened our second production plant in Saudi Arabia, located in Ha’il.
The plant was built in response to the growing demand for sleepers, driven by ambitious long-term plans to expand the infrastructure of Saudi Arabia and neighbouring countries. As one of the few European companies to have maintained local production in Saudi Arabia for many years, we demonstrate our extensive experience in delivering demanding international projects.
Drawing on our many years of experience in implementing plant projects under challenging conditions, we completed the facility within the planned ten-month construction period. In doing so, we successfully overcame the climatic and infrastructural challenges posed by Ha’il’s location on the edge of the Nefud Desert in northern Saudi Arabia.

Resilience: Successfully completed on schedule despite temperatures of up to 55°C during the construction phase
International reach: Products manufactured at the plant are also available for projects outside Saudi Arabia
Quality: Sleepers manufactured in Ha’il meet the highest requirements for Long Distance and Freight Transport
On budget: The planning and implementation team completed the project within the planned investment budget
