RAILONE supplied Hinged Turnout Bearers for three turnout sets for Munich Central Station in Germany, providing a cost-effective solution for transport using standard railway wagons.
An enhanced Hinged Turnout Bearer featuring a cast design was installed as planned at Munich Central Station for the first time. This project marks an important milestone, as the new design provides a more cost-effective alternative to welded solutions, reducing manufacturing effort while increasing material stability.
The Hinged Turnout Bearer was developed in response to the limited availability of special transport wagons. Its hinged design allows turnout bearers to be transported using standard railway wagons. This significantly increases logistical flexibility while reducing transport costs by up to 75%.
