AMSTERDAM–ANTWERP, THE NETHERLANDS/BELGIUM
RHEDA 2000® for a Wide Range of Route Characteristics
Between 2002 and 2006, RAILONE supplied RHEDA 2000® bi-block sleepers and engineering expertise for 88 km of the Dutch high-speed line between Amsterdam and Antwerp.
HSL Zuid is the Dutch section of the high-speed line connecting Amsterdam and Antwerp. The 88-kilometre route was constructed between 2002 and 2006 and designed by a Dutch-German joint venture. RAILONE contributed valuable engineering expertise, carried out the track superstructure design and developed the installation technology. The route crosses a variety of subsoil conditions that required custom designs, which were optimally addressed using the RHEDA 2000® ballastless track system.
