Hohes Gewicht und große Auflagefläche einer Schwelle erhöhen die Gleislagestabilität und verringern den Instandhaltungsaufwand. Die Breitschwelle von RAILONE treibt dieses Konzept auf die Spitze. Entwickelt wurde eine Schwelle mit einer Breite von knapp 60 cm und einem Gewicht von beinahe 600 kg. Somit werden die Verkehrslasten ohne Unterbrechung im Schwellenfach bestmöglich im Schotterbett verteilt. Die Erfahrungen aus über 25 Jahren Betrieb sind deutlich spürbar und zeigen verlängerte Stopfzyklen, auch bei Gleisen mit sehr ungünstigen Untergrundverhältnissen.
